Big news to frugals and tech geeks out there! Virgin Mobile is yet again paving the way for new Android phones! Introducing the Motorola Triumph. An Android phone that looks a lot like a Droid X (the same maker of the Triumph, might I add), minus the QWERTY keyboard. And this one sure does blow the other prepaid Android devices out the water! The Triumph packs in a punch according to Motorola's website and its loaded with Facebook widgets, stock Android software (rest assured Motorola users, Motoblur is NOT going to be on this device), a 5 megapixel camera on the back AND, get this, a VGA camera on the front for Skype and self portraits, AND HDMI out! Which is A LOT for a prepaid phone. Usually prepaid carriers don't have the nice bells and whistles as contract phones and most prepaid phones, let's be honest, are a piece of crap. But on paper, the Motorola Triumph breaks the barrier of piece of crap and finally gives us money savers out there, a deal of the decade! As of now, there is no price range for this phone but I've got a good feeling judging from the price of the LG Optimus V and Samsung Intercept (2 previous Android devices on Virgin), this phone will probably be ranging from $200-$300 at launch. Now I do know that the phone will be released July 19th. Perfect timing for back to school time and those who are college bound this coming school year!
UPDATE: I just got word that the Motorola Triumph is now on preorder at Best Buy for $299.
