Social Networking Taking Over the World! By Tyler!

Twitter, MySpace, Facebook... there are many social networking websites that have surrounded the internet industry and turned our perspective of long distance relationships... well to the next level. Yea... there was once the IM and e-Mail craze! You know when you were talking to some stranger you didn't know with no picture. But now, it seems as if Twitter is a stalker's dream website since of course normal people put every single thing they do on Facebook and Twitter. Like "Goin to the mall", or the classic, "I'm bored don't know what to do", trust me I've used and abused that one too! So why is it social networking was the next-gen Instant Messaging? We honestly don't know... maybe it's the fact you can upload pics, post blogs, status updates, etc. And at the same time, talk to your friends. Many people say it's just a fad and will sooner or later phase out just like AIM did. But wait, there is still a great amount of people who IM, I use IM occasionally to privately communicate with people. Because, honestly, I don't want some weirdo from school who I half way know see my conversation with Betty-Sue on my profile. Who wants that anyway? Maybe it's convenient to see what your "friends" are up to, but honestly, since when has anyone enjoyed MySpace in the past year? Everyone is complaining that it sucks. Well I can really take that opinion in because your so-called "friends" rank their friends by a Top Friends list. Which completely singles out many people on your MySpace! Another thing, a weirdo sending you nasty messages. And no I don't mean porno, I mean rude, mean messages that can hurt and insult somebody, and to top it off, it's online! So it could be on there FOREVER, even after you delete it, some creep might copy and paste the post on something else and it will never leave! EVER! So maybe its good, bad, ugly? I've always thought that there's always pros and cons to everything, especially the Internet!
