Kim Kardashian SUES Old Navy over a LOOKALIKE!

Looks like the money hungry ho is at it again! This time a lawsuit! The million dollar heiress who's father was OJ Simpson's lawyer in the 90's is now suing Gap Inc. aka Old Navy over TV ads that showed a girl that looks like a spitting image of Kim herself. According to TMZ, she hopes to recover $20 Million dollars (with an "M") from Gap Inc. for using Melissa Molinaro as her "stand-in". And her attorney Gary Hecker said in a statement
“Kim Kardashian is immediately recognizable, and is known for her look and style. Her identity and persona are valuable. When her intellectual property rights are violated, she intends to enforce them.”
Melissa backfired by tweeting
"Were still talking about this?! Its JULY this aired in February...some people have too much time on there hands."
But seriously, Kardashian's got LOTS of inheritance, famous for God knows what, and has her own TV show on E!. As if that's not enough, she has her own perfume line, co owner of a fashion boutique, and works as a model for numerous companies. Don't seem like she's satisfied with what she's got. Now if that doesn't sound like greed, I don't know what is.

Axed ABC Soaps Live On!

All soap fans out there as well as myself can rejoyce. As a faithful and loyal soap fan, I am pleased to hear this news and that things are looking up for a change in the soap world! Cancelled ABC soaps, "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" will breathe new life after their television cancellation dates. After their television cancellation date, the shows will be online exclusive shows that will only be accessed to those who have access to the internet. For the younger and computer literate generations this will be a breeze to watch. However non computer users may find it a challenge to watch this show on the web. No word as to which characters will be reprising their roles, respectively. This past April, the news was announced that "All My Children" would end it's 40 year run in September 2011 and "One Life to Live" would end it's 40+ year run in January 2012. Many fans were outraged by the news, even going as far as protests at ABC Studios, Hoover removing their ads on ABC stations, and petitions all across the country. Fans pleaded for their shows to stay on the air. As most know, the soap opera genre, that was once a money making business, is obviously dying. In the past 2 years, long running soaps, "Guiding Light" and "As the World Turns", have been cancelled due to low ratings and not enough funds to support the show. Even "General Hospital", a soap opera with a high reputation in the past, has been rumored that it may not continue to air after 2012, after ABC plans to air a Katie Couric talk show on their daytime lineup (no word on if and when this show will happen). AMC and OLTL will be replaced by healthy living talk shows, "The Chew" and "The Revolution".
